To reserve your space, contact SF Rec & Parks at (415) 831-5510 or (415) 831-5500. You may also place a walk-in reservation by visiting the Pioneer Log Cabin (2 Stow Lake Drive in Golden Gate Park) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday, and 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturdays.

Crissy Field’s 100 acres are bookended by two stunning picnic destinations, West Bluff. Enjoyed by millions every year, the northern waterfront is the park’s “front door,” a threshold you will want to cross time and again. Parking is limited, but don’t worry – the area is well served by the PresidiGo Shuttle and is best enjoyed on your feet.
When did Crissy Field open to the public?
Crissy Field opened to the public in May 2001, when at least 75,000 people attended the opening week celebrations that capped this post-to-park transformation. The Parks Conservancy has continued to support ongoing operations, maintenance, and fundraising for additional projects in the years since.
What is the warming hut at Crissy Field?
At the west end of Crissy Field, the Warming Hut offers tea, hot chocolate and Equator Coffee. Because we closed our full café operations last year, you will find a pared down prepared food menu – mostly packaged snacks from local and California producers. Park in beachfront lots just west of the Marina gate.
What is the Crissy Field restoration project?
The Crissy Field restoration project added educational programs and visitor services by reusing two historic structures for the Crissy Field Center and the Warming Hut. In addition to substantial habitat restoration, new construction included the East Beach restrooms and other visitor amenities.
